MT-NiFe – Nickel-Iron Stick Electrode for High-Quality Cast Iron Welding
The MT-NiFe is a basic-graphitic coated stick electrode with a nickel-iron core rod for reliable cast iron welding. It was specially developed for dissimilar cast iron welding and is ideal for repair, maintenance, and build-up welding.
Thanks to its nickel-iron alloy, it enables a particularly machinable weld seam and reduces the risk of cracking in difficult-to-weld cast materials.
Standard Designations
-
EN ISO 1071: E C NiFe 11
-
AWS/ASME SFA-5.15: E NiFe-CI
Areas of Application
-
Nodular graphite cast iron (EN-GJL-100 / GG10 to EN-GJL-350 / GG35)
-
EN-GJS-400 (GGG40) to EN-GJS-700 (GGG70)
-
Joining welds on cast iron
-
Build-up welds on cast iron
-
Repair welds on grey cast iron and malleable cast iron parts
-
Particularly suitable for spheroidal graphite cast iron
The electrode is optimally suited for cold welding. The weld seam and seam transitions are very easily machinable.
